Senior Vice President and General Manager, Core Switching Group

Asad Khamisy is the Vice President of R&D in the Core Switch Products group at Broadcom. As the head of the engineering team, Asad is responsible for the development of all of Broadcom Network Switching chips that span Small, Medium, Enterprise, Data Center and Service provider markets. Asad has more than 25 years of experience in the field of networking, communications and semiconductors.

Asad is a named inventor of several patents in the area of network switch, and the author of more than 15 publications in the area of computer networks. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion — Israel Institute of Technology in 1994.
