Overview
The Broadcom® ACPL-E81BT is a precision isolation amplifier designed for DC voltage sensing applications in automotive traction inverters, onboard chargers (OBC) and battery monitoring systems. This device facilitates accurate measurement by converting a differential input voltage into a proportional, isolated single-ended output voltage.
The ACPL-E81BT employs optical isolation technology to provide galvanic isolation between the input and output circuits. It utilizes a sigma-delta (Σ-Δ) analog-to-digital converter and chopper-stabilized amplifiers to ensure superior DC accuracy, long-term stability and excellent noise rejection. With a ±0.5% gain tolerance and a 220-kHz bandwidth, the device can capture both precision DC levels and fast voltage transients.
This galvanic isolation solution is delivered in a compact, surface-mount 300-mil stretched SO-8 (300-mil SSO-8) package that meets worldwide regulatory safety standards. Broadcom R2Coupler™ isolation products provide the reinforced insulation and reliability required for critical automotive and high-temperature industrial applications.
